Defining "Maker"

OTRMM is a curated event and work must be the vendor’s original design and execution. Items created from commercially available plans or kits are not acceptable. Buy/Sell (such as vintage clothing) is not acceptable. OTRMM looks for high quality, unique items created and executed at least 80%-90% by the vendor themselves. A small percentage of finishing by a third party (such as printing) is acceptable. We do not accept applicants representing national brands & products. OTRMM retains final discretion for acceptance on a case by case basis.

Submissions

You may submit and show work in more than one category, but at least one photo of each category of work must be included as part of your application. PLEASE SUBMIT A MAXIMUM OF 5 PHOTOS with the application. Digital images sent via email are acceptable but total file size should not exceed more than 5mb. Images should accurately represent the work that will be displayed. Artists may only exhibit work in categories that are included in their application.

ACCEPTANCE

We can only accept a certain number of vendors due to space and keeping a balance of vendor types. If you are not selected you have the option of being placed on a waiting list if an opening arises.

Booth and Display

We are not able to accommodate requests for specific spaces. We organize the accepted vendors to ensure equitable distribution and variety for OTRMM attendees.

Each space is 10 feet by 10 feet. Tents, displays, art, supplies, chairs and other items must be kept within the assigned space and may not encroach into the adjacent space or street, or onto any sidewalk.

ARTISTS MUST HAVE WEIGHTS FOR THEIR TENTS.

OTRMM is a rain or shine event so please plan accordingly. We currently do not provide electrical service to the event.

Everything else

Each artist is personally responsible for the collection and reporting of Virginia Sales Tax (6.0%). More information can be found here, or by calling (804) 367- 8031.

Please indicate any special needs, such as wheelchair access, etc., on your application so we can place you in the best possible spot. Any other needs related to display of art and crafts are the responsibility of the artist.

If you are not accepted into the show we will notify you by email. Photos of artwork will NOT be returned.

If you have questions, please submit them below.

Covid-19 CONSIDERATIONS

We also hold the right to cancel the event for any concerns of staff, vendors' and customers' safety pertaining to Covid-19. Vendors will receive a full refund (minus a $10 admin fee) of their fees in such a case.
